Projects

The Higher Synthesis Foundation is making progress in fulfilling its mission, which involves mentoring or advising research projects on novel innovative practices in health, food and environment areas of work.  It also involves constructing data capture systems and study infrastructure to support such studies.  A special interest is developing registry infrastructure that can be shared across a variety of practices.

We welcome inquiries and new partners in our endeavors.

Projects

Gifted Clinicians / Transformative Treatments / Sensitive Measures Project

Formerly called Treatment-Guided Research Initiative and Practice-Based Research Networks, this project aims to generate treatment-based evidence for complex, dynamical, multi-targeted individualized treatment approaches.  Over the years that we have had this project, our activities have included

Documenting Hope Project

  • Related to the above project and to Bioregulatory Systems Medicine (see publication on Publications page).
  • Documenting Hope is the independent research arm of the nonprofit organization Epidemic Answers.  Its two IRB-approved research projects are CHIRPTM and FLIGHTTM, both of which have Martha Herbert, PhD, MD (Higher Synthesis Foundation founder) as their Principal Investigator.  The Higher Synthesis Foundation supported Dr. Herbert’s work on this project until 2019.
    • CHIRPTMChildren’s Health Inventory for Resilience and Prevention, a major comprehensive survey of supportive, stressful and toxic influences on the health and development of children.  See the 2020 research poster/abstract on the Publications page related to Consilience and Total Load.  This project received IRB approval in 2018 and is enrolling subjects on an ongoing basis.
    • FLIGHTTMFacilitated Longitudinal Intensive Investigation of Genuine Health Transformation – to our knowledge the first rigorous prospective study the process of full recovery of children from a range of childhood chronic illnesses.  This project received IRB approval in October, 2020 and will start enrollment in Q2, 2021.

EMIT(TM) Study (EMF Exposure Mitigation Impact Tracking Study)

The EMIT Study involves provision of data capture infrastructure to allow tracking of changes in exposure and changes and health and behavior indicators, initially in autism and subsequently in others as well.  Anecdotal reports suggest improvements in status (e.g., reduction or elimination of autism symptoms)  but these have not been tracked formally.  To be informed of the progress and launching of the EMIT study, click here.

Case Registry Project

This project is part of the Higher Synthesis Foundation’s mission to provide infrastructure to lower the bar for innovative practitioners to generate case reports and other data about the impacts of their work on their patients or clients.
